On Friday, the Oyo State Police Command declared that it would begin an investigation into the alleged altercation in Ibadan between All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members.
This reveals the Thursday violence in Ibadan between supporters of the two major political parties.
Three people were killed in the clash, which took place in Ile-Tuntun, Ibadan South-East Local Government Area.
Adewale Osifeso, the State Police Public Relations Officer, disclosing this during a radio programme in Ibadan said the command had since commenced a probe into the incident.
He noted that the culprits would be brought to book.
“Yes, the unfortunate incident did occur yesterday(Thursday), and as we speak, an investigation has commenced into unravelling the root cause of the incident.
“Oyo State is the cradle of sophistication, and the world depends on Oyo for many things; we should not continue in the trajectory known for hooliganism,” he said
