The Nigeria Police Force has announced the arrest of a suspect in Nasarawa State involved in the mass production of Russian flags. This follows reports of protesters in Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina waving Russian flags during demonstrations.
The protesters, chanting songs in Hausa, were seen carrying the flags as they moved through the streets.
Additionally, the Department of State Services (DSS) confirmed the arrest of several tailors in Kano State suspected of producing these flags on a large scale. The authorities also apprehended the alleged sponsor behind the production and distribution of the flags.
Investigations are ongoing to uncover the motives and connections related to this unusual occurrence.
The development comes as the #Endbadgovernance national protest against hunger and hardship enters Day 5 on Monday.
