Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) are set to converge in Awka, Anambra State, for the much-anticipated National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, as stakeholders across the legal profession continue to express optimism over the future of the Bar and ongoing efforts to strengthen the Association. Among those who extended goodwill messages ahead of the gathering is Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq., a past National Officer of the NBA and candidate for the office of NBA General Secretary.
In a statement released ahead of the meeting, Ohagba felicitated the NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, NEC members, and accredited observers, while welcoming delegates to Anambra State, popularly known as the “Light of the Nation.” He expressed hope that the deliberations at the NEC meeting would produce meaningful outcomes for the advancement of the legal profession, the Association, and the country at large, while also wishing participants a fruitful and refreshing stay in Awka.
