Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq. Felicitates NBA Women Forum on 2026 AGC, Commends Leadership Drive and Push for Inclusive Legal Advancement

Former National Officer of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq., has extended warm felicitations to the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) on the occasion of its 2026 Annual General Conference holding in Kano State. In his goodwill message, Ohagba congratulated the Hajiya Princess Huwaila Mohammed-led Executive Committee, the Planning Committee, the Local Organising Committee, and the entire membership of the Forum for convening what he described as a significant gathering for the advancement of women in the legal profession.

He noted that the conference theme, “Time to Gain: Building a Culture of Leadership, Legacy and Support,” reflects a growing global emphasis on women empowerment, leadership inclusion, and sustained professional support. Ohagba commended the NBAWF leadership for its consistent contributions to capacity building and excellence within the Bar, expressing confidence that the conference would foster collaboration, inspire growth, and further strengthen the role of women in shaping a more inclusive and progressive legal community.

I write to extend my warmest note of felicitation to the Hajiya Princess Huwaila Mohammed-led NBAWF Exco, the 2026 AGC Planning Committee, the LOC, and the entire esteemed members of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum on this auspicious occasion of your 2026 Annual General Conference holding in Kano.

This year’s conference theme, “Time to Gain: Building a Culture of Leadership, Legacy and Support,” re-echoes the reverberating global call for women empowerment, leadership inclusion and support.

This Conference provides a veritable platform for leadership advancement, collaborative empowerment, and the promotion of continuing growth and development of women within the Bar and the legal profession. It is through initiatives such as this that we continue to shape a more inclusive, equitable, and truly progressive legal community.
