Ogun Housing Corporation Seeks full Implementation of Anti-land Grabbing Law

Ogun State Housing Corporation has called for the total implementation of anti-land grabbing and foreclosure laws through institutional enforcement to strengthen property administration and safeguard investments.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, Michael Ojo, made the appeal, while appearing before members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts and Anti Corruption chaired by Damilare Bello in Abeokuta on Friday.

Ojo stated that the total implementation of the laws would empower the corporation to enforce housing policies, curb illegal occupation of government property, improve mortgage recovery processes and enhance investor confidence in the state’s housing sector.

The General Manager also commended the Abiodun-led administration for its unwavering support and strategic commitment to expanding access to affordable housing across the state.

Ealier, while considering the audit report of the Corporation, the House Committee requested the management of the corporation to produce its fixed asset register and provide supporting documents on other equipment amongst others.

The Committee also directed the management of the D. S. Adegbenro Polytechnic led by Prof. Goke Rauf to furnish the Committee with the details of a 750-Seater Lecture Hall being constructed by the institution alongside other supporting documents contained in its expenditure line.
