The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has engaged Honeywell UOP, a United States-based multinational, to assess the operational state of the Port Harcourt refinery in preparation for potential investment.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Joseph Obele, the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), described the engagement of the international firm as a strategic step towards reviving the facility.
Honeywell UOP, formerly known as UOP LLC, is a global leader in refining technology, petrochemical production, and gas processing solutions.
The association commended NNPC’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Bayo Ojulari, for awarding the contract.
