The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu’s family has responded to Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, calling for the Biafra agitator.
Kanunta Kanu, Kanu’s younger brother, expressed gratitude on behalf of the family to Soludo for the call.
Recall that Soludo demanded the IPOB leader’s immediate and unconditional release.
If the Federal Government finds it difficult to release the Biafra agitator unconditionally, Soludo said he is prepared to act as a surety for the man.
The governor spoke during the party’s flag-off campaigns, which witnessed the presence of the party’s presidential candidate, Prof Peter Umeadi and other party candidates in the state and southeast.
Reacting, Kanunta tweeted: “I am making a passionate appeal to @GovNigeria to release #MaziNnamdiKanu unconditionally. If he cannot be released unconditionally, I want him released to me and I will stand surety for him.” @CCSoludo Governor Anambra state. The Kanu family is grateful.”
