Nigerian Law School Convenes 2026 Academic Roundtable, Unveils #ARISE Strategic Framework for New Legal Era

The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School, on Monday, February 9, 2026, convened its 2026 Academic Roundtable in Abuja, bringing together academic staff from all campuses to strengthen teaching standards and advance the School’s core mandate.

Declaring the session open, the Director-General, Dr. Olugbemisola Titilayomi Odusote, emphasized the importance of teamwork, innovation, and collective responsibility in delivering the Law School’s vision.

In her keynote presentation titled “ARISE: A Strategic Vision for the Nigerian Law School – Rebuilding for a New Legal Era,” Dr. Odusote unveiled the #ARISE Framework:

R – Research & Renewed Service
I – Infrastructural Rebirth
S – Sustainability & Stakeholders
E – Enabled Digitization

She noted that ARISE is not a compliance but a commitment, calling on staff to contribute meaningfully to the Institution’s growth and impact.

The Roundtable featured discussions on improving teaching quality, curriculum delivery, ethics, mock trials, externship alignment, and standard-setting for Bar Final examinations.

The engagement reaffirmed the collective dedication of academic staff to producing competent, ethical, and practice-ready legal professionals.
