The Nigerian Law School (NLS) has released a series of important notices and guidelines for students applying for Bar Part II programme.
According to the Council of Legal Education, all applicants must strictly adhere to specific instructions, especially regarding application procedures, payment methods, and documentation requirements.
The school emphasized that application fees must be paid through the Remita platform https://www.remita.net by selecting the Council of Legal Education as the biller, and not to any individual campus of the Nigerian Law School. The prescribed application fee is ₦30,000, and candidates must ensure that their surname is written in capital letters first, followed by other names when filling the form.
Furthermore, only candidates who have received full admission are eligible to proceed with the payment of school fees. Applicants are also advised to obtain their login passwords from the Deans of their respective law faculties.
On the issue of forgotten or changed passwords, the Law School advised applicants to send a formal email to [email protected], including their full names, matriculation number, application number, phone number (with country code), university, and the reason for the request.
In preparation for resumption, all successful applicants are required to submit completed medical forms, along with an X-ray and other medical documents, as accommodation will not be allocated without them.
For candidates encountering issues while uploading their passport photographs, the institution reminded applicants that the passport size must not exceed 50KB, must be in JPG or PNG format, and should be taken on a white background with black attire.
The school assured that the official resumption date for the 2024/2025 Bar Part II session will be announced soon, and encouraged applicants to regularly check their emails and the official portals for updates.
All supporting documents are to be submitted via [email protected], and further inquiries should be directed to the helpdesk via [email protected].
The Council of Legal Education urged all applicants to comply strictly with these guidelines to ensure a smooth admission and registration process.
