Nigeria Should Have Special Courts for Corruption Trials – Kenny Okolugbo

Former Consultant on Communications and Strategy to the President of the Senate, Kenny Okolugbo, says there must be a special court for corruption trials in Nigeria.

Okolugbo made this statement on Wednesday when he appeared as a guest in an interview.

“The judiciary in Nigeria is currently facing a significant challenge, particularly with the increase in corruption cases.

“Nigeria must hold politically exposed persons accountable as a critical example of the consequences of corruption.

“Targeting and undermining corruption enforcement agencies will hinder the fight against corruption.

“The major reason of accountability is that you have to use people as critical examples. If you look at it, you will discover that it’s only former Plateau State Governor Joshua Dariye and his Adamawa State counterpart Murtala Nyako that were indicted,” he said.
