Members of the Human Rights Committee (HRC) led by the Vice Chairman NBA Lagos and Chairperson of HRC Committee Mrs Esther Jimoh, and the Alternate Chairman of the Committee Mr Olarenwaju Obadina, paid a Courtesy visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA ) Lagos, on Tuesday 24th October 2023.
The Director of Seaport Operations in the company of all the directors heading each directorate of the Lagos Annex of the NDLEA warmly received members of the HRC.
The visit geared towards fostering an exchange of robust discussions centred on the need for respectful interaction between law enforcement agents and members of the Bar, availed the committee the opportunity to garner the support of the NDLEA in facilitating knowledge sharing and cooperation towards entrenching respect for human rights and the rule of law.
The high point of the visit was the decoration of the Chairperson of the Human Rights Committee, NBA Lagos, Mrs Esther Jimoh, as a WADA Ambassador of the NDLEA. The acronym WADA stands for War Against Drug Abuse.
