The NBA Women Forum, Mentorship Committee, in partnership with its Imo State Chapter, recently hosted a groundbreaking Mentorship Seminar in Owerri, Imo State, on October 20, 2023. Themed “Empower Her: Breaking Barriers and Building Careers for Women in Law,” this event was graciously sponsored by Her Excellency Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, the First Lady of Imo State, who graced the occasion alongside numerous dignitaries and accomplished female lawyers from across the state.
The seminar was marked by the inspirational keynote address delivered by Her Excellency Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, an enlightening plenary session titled “Career Progression for 21st-Century Female Lawyers: Pros and Cons” presented by our Chairperson, Mrs. Chinyere Okorocha, and a mentorship session where attendees were divided into small groups, each guided by a knowledgeable mentor in a specific legal career.
We are grateful to the Head of the Mentorship Committee, Zainab Atoba and the Imo State Lead Mrs. Chetachi Udeh, along with their entire teams for organising this wonderful event, which was a much-anticipated and resounding success, fulfilling the aspirations of female lawyers in Imo State.
