The Governor and First Lady of Imo State on Friday 20th October, 2023 received the delegation of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum led by the Chairperson of the Forum, Mrs Chinyere Okorocha at the Imo State House.
The Chairperson, Mrs Chinyere Okorocha in her address expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency for receiving her and her delegation to the State House. She noted that Her Excellency is a long time member and supporter of the Forum and thus it was only befitting that the Forum held one of its physical programs in Imo State. The Chairperson used the opportunity to give an introduction of the Forum, its progress and achievements. She harped on the essence of the Mentorship Seminar which brought her and her Executive Committee members to Imo state and which they have held in different parts of the nation including Rivers State, Oyo and Taraba States.
His Excellency in his response expressed his happiness that the Forum chose Owerri as the venue for the Forum’s Mentorship program. He pledged his support to the Forum and encouraged the Executive Committee members of the Forum to continue the good work of empowering female lawyers for success.
