The Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee (CPC) for the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law (NBA-SPIDEL) 2026 Annual Conference, Sir Ejike Ezenwa (SAN, FCArb) has sponsored 10 young lawyers to the conference.
The sponsorship covers both registration fees and accommodation for the benefitting young lawyers.
The sponsorship was announced when the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Forum, NBA Onitsha Branch, paid a courtesy visit to the senior lawyer.
According to Mr. F. N. Ofoegbu, the forum’s Social Secretary, the visit was “an opportunity for the Forum to engage with the Learned Silk on the participation of young lawyers in the forthcoming conference and to explore possible support that would enable more young lawyers to benefit from the programme.”
A statement by the forum notes that “In a remarkable show of support for the professional development of young lawyers, the Learned Silk graciously offered to sponsor ten (10) young lawyers to attend the conference, covering their conference registration and accommodation. (And has successfully registered same)”
The Forum expressed gratitude to the senior lawyer, saying: “We are deeply grateful for this thoughtful gesture and for the confidence reposed in young lawyers. On behalf of the Young Lawyers Forum, NBA Onitsha Branch, we say a very big THANK YOU, Sir.”
The eagerly awaited NBA-SPIDEL Annual Conference will kick off on November 9, 2026, with pre-conference activities including training for public interest lawyers.
The Opening Ceremony will hold on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at the world-class International Conference Centre (ICC), Umuahia, Abia State.
Former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN will deliver the Keynote Address.
