To address this growing need, the Corporate Governance & Compliance Committee of the NBA Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) will host a practical workshop themed “Controlling the Machine: Practical AI Governance, Risk & Compliance.” The programme is designed for legal practitioners, governance professionals, risk managers, compliance officers, and corporate executives seeking practical strategies for implementing responsible AI governance within their organisations.
Participants will gain hands-on knowledge on conducting AI risk assessments, developing and maintaining AI risk registers, drafting and implementing AI governance policies, designing internal approval processes and control frameworks for organisational AI use, as well as accessing practical tools and templates that can be immediately adapted to their respective workplaces. The workshop aims to equip attendees with actionable skills to navigate the evolving AI regulatory landscape with confidence.
The workshop is scheduled to hold on Friday, 24 July 2026, at 9:00 a.m. (WAT), with the venue to be communicated to registered participants. Participants will receive certificates upon completion.
