Welcome to Our New Chapter: Technology Committee!
Dear Committee Members,
On behalf of the Committee EXCO, I have some exciting news to share! Our committee, known as the ICT Committee, is stepping into a new era with a new name: the “Technology Committee” This change reflects our growing focus on a wider range of tech developments that are shaping our world and our work as legal professionals.
Over the years, we have broadened our horizons beyond traditional ICT, diving into emerging areas like AI, Blockchain, and more. This new name captures our spirit of digital innovation and our commitment to leading in all areas of technology law and practice. I want you to know that our core mission remains the same. We’re still all about learning, sharing, and making an impact in the world of technology, law, and business.
We wanted you to be the first to know about this development before the formal announcement. The name change will be effective upon its formal announcement, and from then on, we will be at liberty to use it.
As we step into this new identity, let’s look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and impactful achievements. We are committed to driving Technology Policy Initiatives, hosting a series of Webinars/Twitter [X] Spaces on Emerging Technology legal and business issues, initiating collaborative projects, and mentoring young lawyers in Technology Law and Policy. Your active participation is vital in realizing these goals. More detailed information on our 2024 plans will follow shortly.
Best,
Rotimi Ogunyemi
