NBA REMODELS FORMER SECRETARIAT AS OPERATIONAL BASE FOR THE EFFECTIVE OPERATION OF THE NBA-ICLE AND NBA-HRI

As part of the efforts of the current leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (the NBA) to properly reposition the NBA Institute of Continuing Education (NBA-ICLE) and the NBA Human Rights Institute (NBA-HRI) for efficient service delivery, the former NBA Secretariat in Abuja, which had been abandoned for about six years has now been remodelled and is now properly equipped to provide an efficient operational base for these critical NBA Institutes.

Consequently, on the 14th day of July 2022, the former NBA Secretariat, which is now known as the NBA Institutes Building, was commissioned by the Governor Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, for use by the NBA-ICLE and NBA-HRI. The wing of the building which is occupied by the NBA-ICLE was named after Chief Folake Solanke, SAN while the wing housing the NBA-HRI was named after Arakunrin Oluwarotimi O. Akeredolu SAN, the Governor of Ondo State in recognition of their significant contributions to the growth and development of legal profession in Nigeria.

It is expected that the NBA Institutes Building will provide the right environment for the NBA-ICLE and the NBA-HRI to effectively discharge their functions to wit: providing excellent bespoke Continuing Legal Education for Lawyers and being a front line champion for the protection of Human Rights in Nigeria, respectively.
