NBA President Afam Osigwe, SAN, Presents Report at NEC Meeting in Akure.

The National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) convened on February 6, 2025, in Akure, Ondo State, bringing together key stakeholders in the legal profession. The meeting was graced by the Chief Judge of Ondo State, Hon. Justice Olusegun O. Odusola, and the Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo, SAN, who represented the State Governor. The gathering provided a platform for meaningful discussions on the progress of the NBA and its ongoing initiatives to strengthen the legal profession.

During the meeting, the President of the NBA, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, presented his report, highlighting key developments, strategic initiatives, and the association’s commitment to promoting the rule of law and enhancing members’ welfare. His address underscored the NBA’s dedication to driving positive change within the legal community. The deliberations that followed reflected a collective commitment to upholding the values of the Bar, ensuring continued progress, and addressing the evolving challenges facing the legal profession in Nigeria.

On the 6th of February, 2025, I had the privilege of presenting my report at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), held in Akure, Ondo State.

The meeting was honored by the distinguished presence of the Chief Judge of Ondo State, Hon. Justice Olusegun O. Odusola, and the Honorable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Olukayode Ajulo, SAN, who represented the Governor of the State.

In my report, I provided key updates on the NBA’s activities and initiatives, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to advancing the legal profession, enhancing members’ welfare, and upholding the rule of law. The deliberations were insightful, reflecting our collective resolve to strengthen our noble association.

I sincerely appreciate all NEC members, senior lawyers, and colleagues who attended and contributed to the robust discussions. Together, we will continue to build a stronger, more impactful Bar.
