The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), in collaboration with Southeast Stakeholders and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), is set to host the Southeast Stakeholders Summit on Peace and Security. This high-impact event will take place on February 21 & 22, 2025, at Hotel Sunshine, Presidential Road, Enugu, starting at 10:00 AM daily.
The Southeast region has faced increasing security concerns in recent years, making this summit both timely and crucial. By bringing together key stakeholders, the NBA aims to foster dialogue, proffer solutions, and develop actionable strategies for enhancing peace, stability, and security in the region.
The summit is open to a wide range of participants, including: legal practitioners interested in security and governance matters, Government officials and policymakers shaping regional security policies, Traditional and community leaders advocating for peace initiatives, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working on security and human rights, Security agencies responsible for maintaining law and order, Academics and researchers focused on conflict resolution.
