On Tuesday, 4th February 2025, I led a delegation of NBA National Officers and Bar Leaders on a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ondo State, H.E. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, in appreciation of the state’s commitment to supporting the hosting of the NBA National Executive Council (NEC) Meeting scheduled for 6th February 2025 in Akure, Ondo State.
We expressed our gratitude to His Excellency for his support to the legal profession and the Nigerian Bar Association. I also commended the strong synergy between the Bar and the Bench in Ondo State, which has been fostered by the government’s commitment to the independence of the judiciary and the promotion of a thriving legal ecosystem.
In response, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to the NBA and pledged full support for a successful NEC meeting.
As we prepare for this crucial gathering of Bar leaders, I look forward to engaging discussions that will shape the future of our profession and strengthen our collective efforts in upholding the rule of law.
