The immediate past Chairman of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) , Mr. Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, has been invited to speak at the 2022 Annual Parley of the Nigerian Chapter of the African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) scheduled to hold on Tuesday, August 23, 2002 at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs on Victoria Island, Lagos.
Akangbe is expected to speak on the topic, ‘ACHIEVING SDG NO. 5 OF THE UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS: MYTH OR REALITY?’
Akangbe is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution and Corporate/Advisory Group at the law firm of Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore, Akangbe was the chairman of the nation’s Premier Bar Branch from 2019 to 2021. He is also a past chairman of the Nigerian Branch of the Young Members Group of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, of which he is a Fellow.
He holds undergraduate and advanced degrees in law, as well as an MBA from reputable institutions in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. His key competencies lie in the practice areas of dispute resolution, corporate and commercial advice, as well as regulatory & compliance advice.
