The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, on the 7th December, 2024 held its highly anticipated Annual Dinner, a prestigious event that brought together distinguished legal professionals and stakeholders to celebrate the profession with elegance and camaraderie. Themed “Eko for Show – Culture for Excellence,” the dinner was a blend of cultural expression, entertainment, and professional networking, reinforcing the Lagos Branch’s reputation as the premier branch of the NBA.
The evening began with a glamorous red carpet and cocktail session, where attendees showcased their finest attire, creating an atmosphere of sophistication and conviviality. The electrifying energy was complemented by the warm welcome extended by the vibrant hosts—Vincent, Damilola, and the sensational Kie Kie, who masterfully set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
The event officially commenced with the National Anthem and the NBA prayer, followed by opening remarks from the Dinner Committee Chair, Adeleke Alex-Adedipe, who expressed gratitude to sponsors and attendees for their unwavering support. This was succeeded by a stirring welcome address delivered by the Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch, Olabisi Makanjuola , who highlighted the branch’s achievements over the past year and emphasized the importance of fostering unity within the legal profession.
The highlight of the evening was the lavish dinner service, featuring an exquisite menu that delighted the guests. While dining, attendees were treated to soulful performances by a live band and the mesmerizing vocalist of Joseph Attah, whose melodies added a touch of magic to the night.
Post-dinner activities were equally captivating. A thought-provoking after-dinner speech inspired reflection and appreciation for the profession, while a poignant spoken word performance delivered by a talented artist echoed the event’s theme, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

The much-anticipated “Award for the Most Creative Expression of Eko for Show Theme” was met with applause, celebrating individuals who embraced the spirit of the theme in their attire and presence.
The event drew to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks from the Branch Secretary, who expressed gratitude to all attendees, organizers, and sponsors for making the evening a resounding success.
