By a letter dated 8 December 2022 but delivered today, 13 December 2022, the Senate Committee on Interior is inviting stakeholders and the general public to a Public Hearing on the following Bills:
i. NIGERIAN SECURITY AND CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS ACT 2010 (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2022 (SB. 695)
ii. NIGERIAN CORRECTIONAL SERVICES ACADEMY (ESTABLISHMENT) BILL, 2021 (SB. 545)
iii. IMMIGRATION ACT 2015 (AMENDMENT) BILL (SB. 694)
iv. FIRE (HAZARDS AND THE SAFEGUARDS) BILL, 2022 (SB 98)
v. IMMIGRATION AND PRISONS SERVICE BOARD ACT, CAP 12 LFN 2004 (REPEAL AND RE-ENACTMENT) BILL, 2022 (SB. 967)
vi. IMMIGRATION AND PRISIONS SERVICES BOARD REPEAL AND ENACT THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS SERVICES BOARD ACT (ENACTMENT) BILL, 2022 (SB. 909)
The Public Hearing has been scheduled as follows:

Time: 10:00am prompt
In addition to the foregoing, the Committee is calling for memoranda on the outlined Bills from stakeholders and the public. All Memoranda in 25 copies should be typed in double line spacing and a soft copy saved on flash drive delivered to:

National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
Members who have contributions to make on any of the Bills should forward their memoranda to the Secretariat of the Committee on or before Wednesday, 14 December 2022, and also endeavour to be at the Public Hearing on Friday.
