The Nigerian Bar Association Institute of Continuing Legal Education (NBA-ICLE) recently concluded a training on capital markets for lawyers in collaboration with the Capital Market Solicitors’ Association. The training saw over 4,000 lawyers participate.
In a statement, Tobenna Erojikwe, Chairman of the NBA-ICLE Governing Board, announced that the Institute had organised a successful training program. Erojikwe expressed gratitude to the Capital Market Solicitors’ Association for collaborating with the NBA-ICLE on the initiative.
The training covered important topics like the legal and regulatory framework for the Nigerian capital market, the debt capital market, joining the Capital Markets Solicitors’ Association, and capital market dispute resolution. Under Erojikwe’s leadership, the NBA-ICLE brought on board renowned experts like Joseph Eimunjeze, Ayodeji Oyetunde, Odiaka Vincent Iweze, Zelda Akindele, and Ikechukwu Agu to facilitate the sessions.
In an email to lawyers, Erojikwe stated that course materials from the training were shared with participants via email, and videos from the training are also available on the NBA-ICLE YouTube channel. The successful capital markets training underscores Erojikwe’s commitment as NBA-ICLE Board Chairman to enhancing continuing legal education for lawyers. The training is one of the initiatives under his leadership aimed at developing legal expertise in niche practice areas.
