A former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, has extended warm goodwill to the Chairman and members of the Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF), NBA Benin Branch, on the occasion of their 2026 Summit. It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest goodwill to the Chairman and members of the Young Lawyers’ Forum, NBA Benin Branch, on the NBA Benin Branch YLF Summit 2026.
I commend the leadership of the Young Lawyers’ Forum, Nigerian Bar Association Benin Branch, for putting together this timely and impactful summit themed “Mastering the Essentials: Criminal and Civil Trials and Appeals.”
This theme speaks directly to the core of our noble profession and underscores the continuous need for capacity building, especially among our young lawyers.
As the future of the Bar, young lawyers must be equipped not only with knowledge of the law but also with the practical skills, discipline, and ethical grounding required to excel in both criminal and civil practice. This summit provides an excellent platform to learn, share experiences, and deepen professional competence.
