Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Barnawa Branch have been commended for their commitment to promoting democratic governance and national development as the branch prepares to host its 2026 Law Week in Kaduna State. Delivering a note of felicitation ahead of the event, NBA General Secretary aspirant, Okey Leo Ohagba praised the Bukola Ajao-led executive committee, the Law Week Planning Committee, and members of the branch for organising what he described as a timely and intellectually engaging programme.
Ohagba particularly applauded the theme of the Law Week, which focuses on strengthening democratic governance through electoral integrity, fiscal responsibility, and the new tax regime, noting that it reflects pressing national concerns shaping Nigeria’s political and economic future. He further expressed optimism that the gathering would provide a platform for meaningful discourse, professional development, and constructive engagement among legal practitioners while contributing positively to the growth of the legal profession and the country at large.

I write to warmly felicitate the Bukola Ajao led Executive Committee, the Law Week Planning Committee, and the entire members of the NBA Barnawa Branch, on this auspicious occasion of your 2026 Law Week.
The theme; ‘Strengthening Democratic Governance and National Development in Nigeria: The Interplay Between Electoral Integrity, Fiscal Responsibility, and the New Tax Regime’ is timely and reflective of the critical issues shaping Nigeria’s democratic and economic future, while promoting meaningful discourse on governance, accountability, and national development.
