The Honourable Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola has pledged to support Female Football Competition with the sum of #500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand) towards the forthcoming NBA Annual General Conference.
This was made known through a statement sighted by lawhauz.com by the TCCP chairman, Tobenna Erojikwe on Wednesday.
He said that this was due to the fulfillment of their pledge to dedicate every amount received as sponsorship for the female football competition to the prize money and the above sum shall be applied to that purpose.
Tobenna thanked the Honourable Minister of Works and Housing on behalf of the TCCP for his timely support.

RE: PRIZES FOR NBA INTER-BRANCH FEMALE COMPETITION
Further to the statement issued by the Technical Committee on Conference Planning (TCCP) in respect of the above subject. I am happy to announce that the Honourable Minister of Works and Housing Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN has pledged to support the NBA-AGC Female Football Competition with the sum of #500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand). The TCCP is extremely grateful to the Honourable Minister of Works and Housing for his timely support.
In fulfillment of our pledge to dedicate every amount received as sponsorship for the female football competition to the prize money, the above sum shall be applied to that purpose. We have also received requests for sponsorship information from other sources and are hopeful that the pot will increase.
On a lighter note, we now face the real possibility of a huge disparity in the prize winnings for the make and female NBA-branch football competition in favour of the latter. I hope that this does not generate a similar complaint of discrimination by the male football teams.
Once again, we pleased with the level of interest that the NBA-AGC 2022 activities have generated and we look forward to a rewarding Conference.
