The Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN) concluded its highly organized 2025 Annual General Conference (AGC) which held in ilorin in grand style.
The 3 days conference wrapped up with colorful dinner sponsored by Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, former Chairman, Lagos Branch of the NBA, and an illustrious member of MULAN. The dinner which held on Saturday, 17th May, 2025, marked the culmination of a week filled with engaging plenary sessions, robust legal discourse, and strategic organizational deliberations.
The highlight of the evening was the special recognition and honor bestowed upon *Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, FCIArb (UK)* for his immense contributions to the success of the 2025 MULAN AGC, particularly for his instrumental role in the planning and execution of the conference.
Delivering a commendation during the event, Mr. K.K. Eleja, SAN, Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, lauded Akangbe SAN’s unwavering commitment and outstanding support in ensuring the seamless organization and execution of the conference. He noted that Akangbe SAN’s involvement significantly enhanced the quality and impact of the AGC, setting a commendable precedent for future gatherings.
In his heartfelt vote of thanks, Akangbe SAN expressed his deep appreciation for the recognition and the overwhelming turnout of members at the conference. He applauded the leadership of MULAN and the dedication of the Conference Planning Committee for organizing a highly successful and impactful summit. He also extended his gratitude to the delegates who travelled from across the country to participate in the conference.
He urged members of MULAN to remain actively engaged in the association’s activities and to continue striving for excellence in their respective fields. “Let us always be ready to lead wherever we find ourselves,” he remarked, encouraging legal professionals to contribute meaningfully to society and uphold the values of integrity, service, and community leadership.
