Prof. Joy Onyesoh is an energetic and experienced transformational Coach, consultant, facilitator, organizer, trainer, inspirational speaker, and researcher. Joy is a passionate and self-motivated individual with a drive to succeed, having excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Joy’s consultancy and research interests are in the area of gender and development with a focus on women peace and security agenda and Gender Based Violence. Prof. Joy Onyesoh consults for local , national, regional and multilateral institutions.
Prof Joy Onyesoh is the Chief Executive Officer of Joy Onyesoh Coaching Consult, Convener Broken But Remoulded , National Coordinator Women’s Situation Room Nigeria , President and Founder Joy Onyesoh Foundation, Country Director, Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom Nigeria. Joy is serial entrepreneur and an international best selling author. She is passiomate about women’s rights and empowerment. Prof. Joy Onyesoh is kingdom focused , and married with three young adults.
For over twenty-five years, Prof. Joy Onyesoh has worked and consulted in Nigeria, the West African region, Europe, and USA on preventing violence against women and girls, promoting peace, and advancIng gender equality and human rights. She is the immediate past International President of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, the first black and African to hold this position in a humdred and six years, an alumnus of California Institute of Integral Studies , the prestigious Golda Meir MASHAV Carmel International Training Centre Israel and the Women’s Human Rights Institute, University of Toronto Canada. She has also earned several certificates in Transformative leadership, women and peace building, mediation and women economic empowerment amongst others.
Joy has founded and directed many ground-breaking local, national, and global initiatives, and has successfully built strong civil society organisations and alliances. She has used a combination of research, academic partnerships, policy advocacy,community mobilization and entrepreneurship to contribute to important paradigmatic and programmatic changes within civil society, governments, the United Nations, bilateral donors and the society at large.
Joy Onyesoh is a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
