Ozofu is the Deputy Managing Partner at Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie, one of Nigeria’s leading law firms, where she plays a pivotal role in the firm’s corporate advisory, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, private wealth, employment and pro bono practice groups. With extensive experience across several areas of the law, she has built a reputation as a highly resourceful and adaptable advisor to clients on complex corporate and commercial matters

Her legal expertise spans private equity, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, regulatory compliance, labour and employment law, and company secretarial practice, making her one of the most sought-after advisors in Nigeria’s corporate legal space.

Ozofu is also widely recognised for her commitment to social impact and access to justice. As the head of the firm’s pro bono practice, she led collaborations that earned international recognition, including the 2018 TrustLaw Collaboration Award by the Thomson Reuters Foundation for contributions to the 28 Too Many Report on Female Genital Mutilation. Under her leadership, the firm also received the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation Award for Africa in both 2020 and 2022.

Beyond her law firm responsibilities, Ozofu has made significant contributions to legal reform and policy development in Nigeria. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), one of the most influential professional bodies within the Nigerian legal community.

Her impact on national policy is equally notable. She served as Chairperson of the Technical Advisory Committee responsible for drafting the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, a landmark reform that modernised Nigeria’s corporate legal framework. She also served as the Thematic Lead of the National Assembly Business Environment Roundtable (NASSBER) Regulatory Working Group and continues to contribute to legislative and regulatory reform through the Ernest Shonekan Centre for Legislative Reforms and Economic Development.

Ozofu has also played an important role in shaping Nigeria’s economic development discourse as Private Sector Chairperson of the Technical Sub-Committee for the Nigerian Economic Summit since 2023.

Her outstanding contributions to the legal profession have earned her widespread international recognition. She has been named annually among the IFLR1000 Women Leaders since 2018, recognised as a Highly Regarded Lawyer by IFLR1000, and listed as a National Leader in Nigeria for Mergers & Acquisitions and Governance by Who’s Who Legal. She is also acknowledged as a Key Lawyer by The Legal 500 EMEA.
