With over 23 years of experience in legal practice, Dr. Ahmed has built an impressive career spanning anti-corruption enforcement, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and institutional reform. Her work reflects a deep commitment to strengthening governance systems and promoting integrity in public service.
Dr. Ahmed currently serves as Director of the Proceeds of Crime Recovery Management Department at the Code of Conduct Bureau Nigeria, where she provides strategic leadership for asset tracing, recovery coordination, forfeiture management, compliance systems, and inter-agency collaboration. Through this role, she contributes significantly to strengthening accountability frameworks and advancing transparency across Nigeria’s public institutions.
A seasoned prosecutor and regulatory lawyer, she has led high-level asset declaration verification initiatives and coordinated complex multi-agency enforcement operations aimed at strengthening compliance and combating corruption.
Her influence also extends to the global stage. Dr. Ahmed represents Nigeria at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna, participating in the UNCAC Implementation Review Group, where she contributes to international anti-corruption implementation and peer review processes.
Within the legal profession, Dr. Ahmed remains an active leader. She is a Council Member of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law and has chaired several national committees of the Nigerian Bar Association, contributing to policy development, professional standards, and institutional strengthening.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Ahmed is deeply passionate about mentoring and empowering women in leadership. She continues to inspire emerging professionals to lead with integrity, speak with confidence, and use their influence to drive meaningful change.
