We are excited to introduce another powerhouse speaker at The Phenomenal Woman Conference — Folashade Alli, SAN, C.Arb. With over 30 years of distinguished experience in arbitration, corporate law, and intellectual property, Folashade has made her mark as a leading legal practitioner in Nigeria.

Born into a family with a rich legal heritage as the daughter of Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, CON, Folashade has established herself as a trailblazer in the Nigerian legal landscape. After earning her LL.B. from the University of Lagos and an LL.M. from University College London, she began her career at Aluko & Oyebode, where she headed the Intellectual Property Law Department. She later served as General Counsel and Group Legal Adviser for the Bollore Group, overseeing legal matters for multiple subsidiaries across various jurisdictions.

In 2001, Folashade founded VatAd Solicitors, which evolved into Folashade Alli & Associates, a firm renowned for its expertise in arbitration, oil and gas, and corporate law. Her leadership extends beyond her firm, playing pivotal roles in the Nigerian Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and international organizations like the ICC.

In 2023, she was conferred the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and has been a champion for the development of young lawyers, particularly women, through various mentorship programs. Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the Legal Amazon Award and recognition as one of the top 50 leading women in the Nigerian legal profession.
