The Convener of the Legal Business Conference, Ifeoma Ben has called on legal practitioners and other industry stakeholders to look beyond the traditional boundaries of legal practice and explore emerging business opportunities in health, sports and fashion law, as she welcomed participants to the seventh edition of the Legal Business Conference 2026.
In her welcome address at the conference, themed “Law, Commerce & Creativity: Unlocking New Frontiers in Health, Sports & Fashion Law,” Ben emphasised the need for lawyers to position themselves as active contributors to economic growth by understanding evolving industries, building strategic partnerships and developing innovative approaches to legal practice. She noted that the intersection of law and business presents significant opportunities for investment, innovation and job creation, while stressing the importance of sound legal frameworks and commercial structures in unlocking the full potential of these sectors.
