Legal Business Conference 2026: Ifeoma Ben Leads Conversation on Emerging Opportunities in Legal Practice

As the legal profession evolves, lawyers are increasingly looking beyond traditional practice areas to identify new markets, develop specialised expertise and build commercially sustainable practices. The 7th edition of the Legal Business Conference, convened by legal practitioner and entrepreneur Ifeoma Ben, seeks to advance this conversation.

Scheduled for 20 October 2026 at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Victoria Island, Lagos, the Conference will hold under the theme, “Law, Commerce & Creativity: Unlocking New Frontiers in Health, Sports & Fashion Law.”

The Conference will bring together lawyers, entrepreneurs, investors, regulators, creatives and industry professionals to examine the legal and commercial opportunities emerging across three dynamic sectors.

From health technology, healthcare regulation and data protection to sports contracts, sponsorships, broadcasting rights, fashion brands and intellectual property, these industries present opportunities for lawyers to expand their expertise and deliver greater value to businesses.

As Founding Partner of The Law Suite, where she leads the Telecommunications, Media and Technology practice, Ifeoma Ben has built a professional profile around corporate and commercial law, technology, innovation and business advisory. She is also the Founder of the Legal Business Network, an initiative focused on professional development, business education and the commercial dimensions of legal practice.

Through the Legal Business Conference, now in its seventh edition, she continues to champion conversations that encourage lawyers to think beyond conventional practice models and engage with emerging business opportunities.

For young lawyers, the Conference offers an opportunity to discover new career paths and areas of specialisation. For established practitioners, it presents a chance to explore new markets, strengthen commercial awareness and identify opportunities for practice development. Entrepreneurs and industry professionals will also gain perspectives on the role of legal expertise in protecting business interests and supporting growth.

The message is clear: the future of legal practice will reward lawyers who understand not only the law, but also the businesses and industries they serve.

Legal practitioners, law students and other interested professionals are invited to participate in this year’s Conference and be part of the conversation shaping the future of legal business.
