The Organisers of the Legal Business Conference have announced the fourth edition of the Annual Legal Business Conference and Awards 2023.
Legal Business Conference (LBC) is an annual event put together by the Legal Business Network in furtherance of its core objectives which include educating and enlightening professionals on contemporary legal and business issues and supporting organisations, startups and entrepreneurs generally to build legally protected businesses.
Speaking to Lawhauz Correspondent, the Convener of the Conference, Ms Ifeoma Ben, noted that the theme of LBC 2023 is “Powering Tomorrow’s Economy Today”. For the economy of any country to boom, certain sectors of the economy must be functional. The Power and Energy sectors, Digital Technologies as well as ease of doing business are critical for the advancement of the Economy.
She noted that LBC 2023 which will hold in June 2023 in Lagos and virtually via Zoom, will have three engaging sessions as follows:
• Session 1: The Role of Energy in Economic Growth: Transitioning to the Next Level
• Session 2: The Digital Economy and the Future of Business: The Odds and the Opportunities
Session 3: Business Enabling Environment: Is Nigeria getting it right?
The Convener stated that in view of the theme which seeks to advance the Nigerian economy, they are working towards bringing together major stakeholders in different sectors of the Economy and will be inviting the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Siemens, Total Energies, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Meta Platforms Inc, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, Google LLC, Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Inland Revenue Service, Coscharis Group, Innoson Group, MTN Group and other Stakeholders.
Ms Ben also stated that, at the 2023 edition of the Conference, they will be presenting industry-based Awards in recognition of industry leaders who are contributing to the growth of the Nigerian economy.
