Zephia Ovia-Ikem is currently a Product Strategy and Operations Specialist at Paystack where she is responsible for leading Financial Partnerships and Product development strategy.
Zephia’s experience cuts across Investment Banking, Payments Solutions, and Financial Technology. Prior to Paystack, Zephia led the development of Akiba at Vetiva Capital, the firm’s premier savings and investment product. She holds a Masters degree in Development Studies, from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Bachelors degree in Politics & International Relations from the University of Manchester in the UK.
Zephia is passionate about development in Africa and is an advocate for youth civic engagement, financial inclusion and education. She demonstrated her passion for development by launching her NGO – Future Leaders Impact and Development Organisation (“FLIDO”) in 2019. FLIDO’s mission is to create a space for knowledge sharing between the youth and private sector leaders to foster access to employment opportunities and empowerment of youth ideas. As a participant in the 2019 Nexus global summit, Zephia was selected in the top 10 participants out of 1,000 applicants to serve as an official delegate in a Brain trust Session with the United Nations – Youth Creating a Resilient World: (Youth Actions to raise the bar on Economic Health, Peace & Security under UNFPA). She is a UNICEF Generation Unlimited (Nigeria chapter) steering committee member, supporting the organizations mandate to empower 20 million young Nigerians by 2030 with education, skills and employment opportunities. In her spare time, Zephia enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures. She is a culinary enthusiast and enjoys a good game of Squash and relaxes through Yoga and Meditation.
Zephia will be a Panelist on the third session on “Business Enabling Environment: Is Nigeria getting it right?” alongside other erudite Speakers.
