The former First Assistant General Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association commended the Ishaku Braun-led Executive Committee and the Law Week Planning Committee for selecting the theme, “Law, Governance and Politics: The Role of the Legal Profession in Advancing the Rule of Law in Nigeria’s Democracy,” which he described as timely and relevant to Nigeria’s democratic journey. He noted that at the intersection of law, governance, and politics, the legal profession must remain vigilant and proactive in defending constitutional values and strengthening democratic institutions. A NOTE OF FELICITATION TO THE POWER BAR
I write to extend my warmest note of felicitation to the Ishaku Braun-led Executive Committee, the Law Week Planning Committee, and the entire membership of the NBA Minna Branch (The Power Bar) on the landmark occasion of your 2026 Law Week.

At the volatile intersection of politics and governance, the law must never be a silent spectator. As ministers in the temple of justice, we are the constitutional anchors preventing democracy from drifting into tyranny.
I commend the leadership of the Power Bar for creating this impactful forum for introspection and robust national discourse.
May our deliberations yield positive outcomes for our Bar, profession, and country Nigeria.
