A lawyer, Moses Ugboh has emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party House of Representatives candidate for Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency in the 2027 National Assembly polls.
In the primary election which was conducted by a three-man Electoral Committee made up of Alhaji Idris Oken, Chairman; Agu Chigozie, Secretary; and Edwin Nworie, member under the supervision of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission Ugboh stood unopposed as three other aspirants stepped down for him.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Alhaji Idris Oken declared him winner amid a total of 2,186 votes cast in the primaries.
Speaking to journalists shortly after he was declared winner in the contest, Ugboh said he was honoured by his people who found him worthy to run.
While thanking party faithful and his supporters, he said the time to liberate the people of Ezza North/Ishielu Federal constituency has come. He promised to drive grassroots development and youth empowerment if elected.
He said, “I feel deeply honoured, humbled, and grateful to the good people of Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency for entrusting me with the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party.
“This victory is not mine alone—it belongs to every supporter, every party faithful, and every citizen who believes that our constituency deserves better representation, real development, and a stronger voice at the national level.
“I express my sincere appreciation for the confidence reposed in me. I am committed to upholding the values of our party, promoting unity, and working tirelessly to ensure victory in the general election.
“Now is the time for all of us to come together—across wards, communities, and interests—because the task ahead is bigger than any individual. By the grace of God and with the support of our people, we will emerge victorious.”
