Law Week 2025: NBA Lagos Branch Hosts Glamorous Chairman/Elders’ Dinner

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, hosted its highly anticipated Chairman/Elders’ Dinner at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday, 18th June, 2025, as part of its 2025 Law Week. The event, which brought together senior members of the bar, committee leaders, and guests, was an evening of celebration, recognition, and vibrant entertainment.

Lawyers and guests were treated to a variety of performances, including traditional and contemporary dance troupes, a live band, and comedy acts, creating a lively atmosphere that blended culture with camaraderie. The well-curated evening also featured an elaborate entertainment, ensuring there was plenty to eat and drink, as members and guests mingled and celebrated the accomplishments of the branch leadership.

One of the highlights of the night was the awards segment, where individuals who had served the branch in various capacities during the outgoing administration were honoured. Chairpersons and Secretaries of different committees received plaques in recognition of their dedicated service. In a touching moment, a posthumous award was presented in honour of Late Mr Babatola Apata, a former Branch Secretary, and also Mr Sofunde Osakwe, SAN, acknowledging their immense contributions to the association.

The current Branch Executive also received Awards for their meritorious service to the branch.

The NBA Lagos also used the occasion to appreciate its media partners who have consistently supported and publicized its activities. Notably, Lawhauz Media was among the media organizations recognized for its outstanding partnership and visibility efforts in the NBA Lagos branch.

The event was not just a celebration but a reaffirmation of the NBA Lagos Branch’s commitment to community, professionalism, and service. The evening served as a fitting appreciation to those who have kept the wheels of the association turning.
