The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Oron Branch, has marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its maiden Law Week. The event, themed “Understanding the Nigerian Lopsided Federation in Reshaping the Future,” drew commendations from across the legal community, including a goodwill message from renowned legal luminary, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe SAN, FCIArb(UK), a former Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch.

Your theme – *“Understanding the Nigerian Lopsided Federation in Reshaping the Future”* – is both timely and courageous. History tells us that a federation which does not uphold equity and justice cannot endure the test of time. By choosing to address the structural imbalances that have long hindered national unity and development, you are helping to pave a better path for the future.
May this inaugural event inspire ongoing reflection, advocacy, and action toward a truly balanced and inclusive Nigerian federation. History is watching, and posterity will surely remember your efforts.
Warm regards,
