Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, has extended warm felicitations to the newly admitted Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) as they take their place at the Inner Bar. He described the honour as a distinction earned through hard work, learning, and integrity, while reminding the honourees of the weighty responsibilities that come with the silk.
Akangbe noted that the elevation is not just a mark of rank but a solemn pledge to uphold the law fearlessly and to serve the cause of justice faithfully. He expressed hope that the new SANs will inspire younger lawyers, strengthen the Bar, and contribute meaningfully to advancing justice across the nation.

I extend warm congratulations to our colleagues who today are admitted to the Inner Bar. It is a distinction earned only by industry, learning, and integrity. Yet with this honour comes a solemn charge: to see that justice is not an empty word, but a living reality for our people.
The silk you wear is more than a mark of rank; it is a pledge to uphold the law without fear or favour, affection or ill-will. The true measure of a Senior Advocate lies not in titles, but in service, in service to the courts, to the profession, and above all, to the cause of justice.
May your elevation inspire younger lawyers, strengthen the Bar, and advance the cause of justice in our nation. Congratulations once again, and welcome to the Inner Bar.
Warm Regards,
LATEEF OMOYEMI AKANGBE SAN, FCIArb(UK)
Former Chairman NBA Lagos Branch.
