Presidential candidate of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, FCIArb (UK), has congratulated the leadership and members of the NBA Enugu Branch on the occasion of the Branch’s 2026 Annual General Meeting and the swearing-in of its newly elected Executive Committee.
In a goodwill message, Akangbe commended the outgoing Chairman, Chief Venatus Chukwuma Odo, and his Executive Committee for what he described as dedicated service, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the Enugu Branch. He noted that the transition represents not only the conclusion of one administration but also the continuation of the Branch’s enduring tradition of institutional excellence, professionalism, and service.
The NBA presidential hopeful also congratulated the Chairman-elect, Mr. Gozie Iwuala, and members of the incoming Executive Committee, describing their election as a clear demonstration of the confidence reposed in them by members of the Branch. He expressed optimism that the new leadership would build on existing achievements, promote the welfare of members, strengthen the Branch’s institutions, and uphold the highest standards of the legal profession.
Akangbe further praised the Enugu Branch for its longstanding reputation for intellectual excellence, professional discipline, and commitment to the rule of law, expressing confidence that it would continue to serve as a model of purposeful leadership and innovation within the Nigerian Bar Association.

I heartily congratulate the Chairman, Chief Venatus Chukwuma Odo, the Executive Committee, and the distinguished members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu Branch, on the occasion of your 2026 Annual General Meeting and the Swearing-in of the newly elected Executive Committee.
Today marks not merely the conclusion of one administration and the inauguration of another, but a celebration of continuity, institutional renewal, and the enduring ideals that have made the Enugu Branch one of the most respected within our Association.
I commend the outgoing Chairman, Chief Venatus Chukwuma Odo, and his Executive Committee for their dedicated service, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the progress of the Branch.
