The maiden edition of the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) Kano Summit recorded a major highlight as former Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, joined young legal professionals to discuss the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on modern legal practice. Addressing an enthusiastic audience, Akangbe emphasized the importance of embracing technology, noting that AI is no longer a distant concept but a powerful tool reshaping the legal profession globally.

I am truly honoured to have participated in the maiden YLF–Kano Summit, where I had the privilege of engaging with young lawyers on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in modern legal practice and the key steps every new wig must take to build a successful and impactful career.

The conversations were rich, and deeply inspiring. The energy, curiosity, and openness displayed by the young lawyers reaffirmed my confidence in the future of our profession. The conversations on AI—its possibilities, its challenges, and its inevitable influence on the practice of law were especially powerful, laying a strong foundation for the future of legal practice in Nigeria.

I look forward with great enthusiasm to future editions of this remarkable summit and to continued engagement with the next generation of lawyers who will shape the profession.
