Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe Extends Christmas Greetings, Urges Renewed Commitment to Justice and Compassion

A senior legal practitioner, Mr. Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, has extended warm Christmas greetings to colleagues as Christians around the world mark the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. In his goodwill message, Akangbe reflected on the significance of the season, describing Christmas as a period that calls for deep reflection on the life and teachings of Christ, particularly the values of love, compassion, peace, and selfless service to humanity.

He further charged members of the legal profession to allow the spirit of the season to reinforce their shared commitment to integrity, justice, and service to the vulnerable in society. Emphasising the role of lawyers as custodians of the rule of law, Akangbe expressed hope that the Christmas season would inspire renewed dedication to fairness, humility, and compassionate service, while wishing colleagues and their families a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Dearly esteemed colleagues, as Christian faithfuls world wide commemorate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, I extend warm greetings and good wishes to you all. Christmas is a season in which many remember Christ life and teachings of compassion, love, and peace, and I join you in hoping that the joy and meaning of this season enrich our hearts and homes.

In our work as advocates and custodians of justice, we share in values that transcend creed – integrity, service to the vulnerable, and a steadfast commitment to the rule of law. May this season strengthen those commitments, inspire renewed dedication to fairness, and deepen your resolve to serve with humility and compassion.

I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
