Relief swept through the family of Peace Onyesom Udoka and her sister, Gift Onyesom, as the duo, who were kidnapped on their way back from the Call to Bar ceremony in Abuja, have been released.
According to rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu, they regained their freedom at a village near Okpella after days in captivity.
Their release came on Peace’s birthday, adding a poignant touch to the family’s joy. While details of their ordeal remain sketchy, Gwamnishu confirmed that further updates would be shared in due course.
He expressed gratitude to God for answering prayers, noting that the family’s resilience and faith sustained them through the harrowing experience.
