Kanu’s Life Imprisonment: Nigerian System was Stacked Against IPOB Leader – Aloy Ejimakor

Aloy Ejimakor, legal consultant to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, says the system has been against his client since 2021.

Ejimakor made this allegation on Monday when he appeared as a guest in an interview on ‘Th Morning Brief’, a programme on Channels Television.

His comment is coming against the backdrop of the recent court ruling that sentenced Nnamdi Kanu to life imprisonment.

“First of all I have to make it clear that it appeared from 2021 that the deck was stacked against Nnamdi Kanu; the entire system seemed to be against him and against what he was doing.

“The desperation of the system was evident in June 2021 when he was renditioned in breach of all canon of international law and laws of Nigeria and laws of Kenya.

“That is indicative of the desperation of the system towards him and against what he was doing. The system was intent on really doing him ill through any means that was available to the system.

It came to a hay on 20th November and to a lot of people, it’s a surprise but to those of us who are insiders, we discerned that this case was a very tough case to win and it happened that on 20th November, it played out,” he said.
