Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the chief legal Counsel for Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has accused Simon Ekpa, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE), of exploiting Kanu’s health condition to deceive Igbo people, especially those in the diaspora.
Ejiofor’s response comes in light of an alarm raised by Simon Ekpa, the Finland-based leader of a factional breakaway group known as Biafra Auto-Pilot. Ekpa had expressed concerns about Kanu’s deteriorating health, suggesting that he might pass away soon due to his illness. In reaction, Ejiofor labeled Ekpa as a chronic fraudster who is leveraging Kanu’s situation for personal gain.
Furthermore, Ejiofor emphasized that Ekpa lacks the authority to comment on Kanu’s health since he is neither a medical professional nor has he actually seen the IPOB leader to draw any conclusive judgments about his well-being.
“This serial fraudster- Simon Ekpa, is not in any position to speak on the medical health condition of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” Ejiofor said in a post on Twitter on Sunday.
“In a bid to play on the emotions of Biafrans and exploit the genuine love they have for #MNK, the crime personified in Finland, quickly resorted to the use of the revered name of #MNK in his latest failed scheme, to keep his remaining gullible followers busy.
“Unfortunately, some people who ought to have learned much about this conman, are busy running with the false story which is a product of the evil imagination of a sick and depraved mind.
“The serial fraudster in Finland is a crime against humanity and a weapon fashioned against the entire Igbo race, and should be treated as such,” he wrote.
