Judge, Three Others Attacked In Gombe

Three individuals, including a judge of the Upper Area Court III, Ayuba Buba-Dalas, Barrister Usman Yahya, and a court staff, were allegedly attacked by unidentified assailants in Degri, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State.

The incident occurred on a Saturday when the victims were conducting a physical assessment related to a land dispute to determine the root cause of the conflict.

According to an anonymous eyewitness who recounted the ordeal, the attack took place when the team was conducting land measurements to establish the rightful owners.

The Nigerian Bar Association’s Gombe State branch confirmed the incident through its Publicity Secretary, Bashir Abdullahi, in a statement.

The statement reads in part, “Good morning distinguished learned silks, seniors, and colleagues. This is to notify the esteemed members of the Jewel Bar that there will be a visit to His Honour, Ayuba Buba-Dalas (UAC III JUDGE), and Usman Yahya Esq., over a sad incident that happened to them yesterday while on a visit to locus at Degri.”
