A Security and Crime Management Professional, Fidel Iduh, says Nigeria needs more of the US airstrikes to tackle insecurity in the country.
Iduh made this statement on Saturday during an interview.
He was reacting to a recent threat by the US President Donald Trump, who threatened Nigeria with more military strikes if the killings of Christians continue in the country.
“The actualisation of President Trump’s threat represents a positive development for the national security of Nigeria.
“It’s unfortunate that the situation has escalated to the point where another country must intervene due to the high level of insecurity.
“If the longstanding cries of citizens regarding banditry and insecurity can only be addressed by external forces, then so be it.
“The US Christmas Day airstrike has sent a clear message to the Lakurawa and ISIS insurgents operating in the area,” he said.
