President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to deliver a nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 7 a.m., in commemoration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
The announcement was made on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
The statement, titled ‘October 1st 2024 Independence Day: President Tinubu Addresses the Nation,’ indicated that the broadcast is one of the activities planned to mark the country’s Independence anniversary.
Onanuga also encouraged media outlets to air the address live.
“Television, radio stations, and other electronic media outlets are encouraged to connect to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast.”
